Training center for para-athletes:
Academy of Para-sports, Education, Career and Self-advocacy (APECS) for young people with different abilities. It is a flagship project of Amiable Aid. This academy offers athletes with different abilities the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and talent at national and international level.
APECS aims to prepare our young people with different abilities for PARALYMPIC events. Working in partnership, APECS aims to bring about sustainable change to improve skills and abilities in play, active recreation and sport, and to provide high quality and equitable participation opportunities of their choice for young people of different abilities up to the age of 24. APECS focuses on the full spectrum of disabilities, including physical disabilities, and in particular the focus areas of intellectual disabilities, invisible disabilities, and inclusive practices for all disabilities. APECS caters to the needs of all athletes with physical disabilities in India, providing pathways and opportunities for beginners to Paralympic champions.
Employment for the Differently abled:
Vocational rehabilitation of people with different abilities through APECS is a process that enables the community of people with different abilities to find suitable employment that provides them with a sustainable foundation, with the aim of integrating or reintegrating them into society.
They are also supported, guided and motivated to become self-sufficient. Organizing non-formal in-house training and customized module-based vocational training for people with different abilities in order to improve their skills and make them employable.
Promoting and assisting people with different abilities to reserve places in various educational and training institutions. Placing people with different abilities with employers for reported vacancies and conducting follow-up. Referring people with different abilities to the appropriate financial institutions to obtain loans at various interest rates or to start a business under various self-employment programs.
APECS provides support and rehabilitation assistance to people with different abilities so that they can stand on their own feet economically and also make themselves useful to society.
