AMIABLE AID partners with online volunteers through the Internet to amplify the impact of its humanitarian work done for the welfare of children with intellectual disabilities and the elderly with physical disabilities.

Professionals, students, retirees and expatriates from around the world offer their skills online to help AMIABLE AID address development issues.

AMIABLE Foundation AID is a non-profit organization that aims to reach thousands of needy, mentally disabled, old aged people and their families through its welfare activities.

Currently, AMIABLE AID ‘s service offerings include: long-term institutional services, facility-based services, home and community-based services, consumer-directed services, family supports, early intervention services, special education, health care, mental and behavioral health, vocational rehabilitation and training, and research.

AMIABLE AID seeks to establish a chain of nursing homes, hospitals and resource centers in various geographic locations worldwide through established local organizations.

The entire process of establishing AMIABLE AID in the early stages was natural and evolutionary and the result of sudden or abrupt changes in many lives that established times for passing each stage. Over time, as people observe our high motivation and performance, they expect more work in terms of volume and type than what our peers normally manage. Initially, we see this as an opportunity to redefine our best performance and expand our capabilities. But within a very short time, we realize that this means extra hours and multitasking. We start working harder for less performance.

Given the circumstances and situation we all find ourselves in, we feel that the help and guidance we receive from our limited circle gradually saturates over time – consequently, the impact falls short of the visionary’s expectations.

amiableAID FOUNDATION believes that there is no point in achieving goals unless it is done within a time limit and in a specific way. All we need is to be better equipped with the right strategy and with more people. Considering this need, we proposed to build a network of like-minded people as members who value the mission and vision of amiableAID FOUNDATION.

And, while we are at it, AMIABLE AID recognizes that some level of financial security is necessary to rise to higher heights. To ensure that the welfare measure reaches 15% of the global population with intellectual disabilities by 2035 is the goal. To reach these new social institutions, fundraising is enormously time consuming and risks cannibalizing other resources.

Therefore, GITGIOH was established as the development arm of AMIABLE AID to continue and support social programs.

GITGIOH campaign stands for a social cause and is the development department of the foundation AMIABLE AID.

AMIABLE AID recruits online volunteers who are looking for opportunities that match their profile and interests, selects the volunteers it wants to involve and engages them in identifying the mentally challenged beneficiaries and their needs at their location, works with the selected volunteers through the internet and engages them in GITGIOH marketplace and fundraising activities, compensates them modestly, and provides them with a certificate of appreciation upon completion of an assignment.

Volunteers write project proposals, share their expertise, draft grant proposals, identify associated NGOs in their region, lead local markets, advise on prevailing rules and regulations in the GITGIOH marketplace in the volunteer’s country, develop fundraising strategies, etc.

AMIABLE AID has a presence in various geographic locations around the world. To communicate its messages to the communities there, AMIABLE AID invites volunteers from each local community who have in-depth knowledge and skills in their language and culture to design logos, layout publications, develop a corporate identity, illustrate training materials, etc. In this way, AMIABLE AID can further its pro bono support for local nonprofit organizations, rule of law and human rights initiatives, and legal capacity building projects around the world.

Volunteers lead teams of other online volunteers, coordinate campaigns, moderate online discussions, serve as board members, etc. This motivates volunteers to develop a sense of community in a virtual environment, which increases volunteers’ commitment to their mission.

Volunteers develop and maintain websites, design databases, set up blogs, perform search engine optimization (SEO), write cascading style sheets (CSS), create Flash animations, etc.

Volunteers research information on development topics, funding sources, potential partners, best practices, etc.

Volunteers write newsletters and articles, translate presentations, summarize survey results, proofread reports, develop website content, etc. By editing and translating texts, exercises, films, and interviews documenting best practices, online volunteers help make the material available to a global audience.

Volunteers develop training materials, lead online courses, advise organizations and/or their beneficiaries, etc.

Volunteers evaluate projects, advise on communication strategies and legal issues, evaluate software solutions, etc.

IT tools available
AMIABLE AID reviews applications, responds to candidates and communicates regularly with online volunteers. To this end, AMIABLE has adequate internet access, software tools and dedicated staff.

AMIABLE AID responds to candidates, provides orientation at the beginning of the assignment, accompanies them during the assignment, and provides feedback at the end of the assignment.

AMIABLE AID ‘s collaboration with volunteers takes place online, and the final product must be submitted via the Internet.

Volunteers are not required to be physically present at a specific location.

Volunteers will never be asked to make in-kind or monetary donations or solicit donations from third parties.

The entire organizational apparatus of amiableAID FOUNDATION consists of volunteers who work selflessly for no personal gain, and a small but competent staff.

Online volunteer opportunities have been posted only on behalf of AMIABLE AID, which strives for the highest level of integrity in all of its endeavors. amiableAID FOUNDATION counts on volunteers to abide by applicable policies and regulations and looks forward to working with them and welcomes any questions they may have regarding anything and everything, including fundraising.

Volunteers are selected solely on the basis of their skills, knowledge, and experience, not on the basis of gender, age, nationality, location, etc.

Applications will be thoroughly reviewed to select the most qualified volunteers to ensure satisfactory results.

Candidates’ applications include a description of their motivation, experience, skills, and availability. To better assess candidates’ profiles, AMIABLE AID may ask them additional questions and test their skills before deciding whether or not to include them in a project.

AMIABLE AID discusses with potential online volunteers the expectations of the assignment. There is room for negotiation between both parties before making a final commitment to work online. AMIABLE AID encourages candidates to ask any questions they may have and, if necessary, provide them with more information about the assignment, our organization, the schedule, and the type of support AMIABLE AID will provide.

Acknowledging the contributions and commitment of our online volunteers is an important source of motivation.

Through the Online Volunteer Service website AMIABLE AID, volunteers can obtain a certificate of appreciation. The certificate includes the title of the action, the name of the volunteer, and the name and logo of AMIABLE AID.

We publish the stories of our online volunteers on our website and mention the contributions they have made to the project in our organization’s newsletters or reports.

AMIABLE AID will inform its volunteers about how their contribution was used or how we plan to use it in the future.

The GITGIOH Marketplace was established by the AMIABLE AID Foundation to serve as a platform for exchange and collaboration between youth employment practitioners and entrepreneurs. The goal of the GITGIOH Marketplace is to reduce unemployment and underemployment among youth. AMIABLE AID aims to achieve this by supporting organizations and institutions working in the field of youth employment.

Although AMIABLE AID also offers some services aimed directly at young entrepreneurs, the focus is on strengthening the capacity of youth organizations and improving coordination and collaboration among them.

Online volunteers who have successfully completed two or three assignments and are seeking a part- or full-time position with Amiable Aid will be considered for employment with AMIABLE AID based on their skills and experience.
